KAIST College of Business started to offer various financial programs in 1996, and nearly 1,100 graduates are currently working in major Korean and global financial institutions. KAIST Graduate School of Finance (KGSF) has also been leading internationalization through specialized programs.

KGSF began selecting international students since 2006. In the fall of 2010, KGSF launched Green Finance MBA which connects finance and green growth for international students from emerging countries. In the fall of 2012, KGSF started running KOICA-KAIST Scholarships, which are granted to government officials from emerging economies who are responsible for developing competitiveness of the financial industries and economies in their countries. Now KGSF has 52 international graduates and 18 current students.
